Supporting our children and the future of our state through the highest quality of education

* When elected, education will be a non-negotiable budget priority, and I will lead the fight in protecting funding for Minnesota's public schools.
* Education is the bedrock to a healthy society; by short-changing our children and allowing the achievement gap to go, we're hurting the next generation of leaders in Minnesota.
* If our legislators can find a way to fund a new stadium for a football team, at a cost of over $300 million to the state, we can surely find creative ways to make sure that all of our children's educational needs are met.
* I will work to make all-day, every-day kindergarten available for all of Minnesota's families that desire it.
* Adequate and consistent funding is necessary for our community and State colleges, assuring that they can continue to produce quality education, that they train students for jobs that meet the demands of the new economy, that the cost of college is not a barrier for anyone willing to work for it, and that students are not saddled by burdensome loans.
